Essential Information
Required documents for Nepal and Bhutan tour
The required travel documentation for Nepal is straightforward. Unlike Bhutan, Nepal has no tourist regulations, therefore all visitors would need is a legal passport and a visa. You can apply for a visa ahead or wait until you arrive at the airport to apply for a Visa on Arrival, which is accessible to residents of most countries. The visa application can be completed online or at an airport terminal, and once the price has been paid, your visa will be issued within an hour of delivering your documents to the customs desk.
While it is necessary to have a pre-booked tour in Bhutan, the process is fairly simple. After you've purchased the vacation and decided where you want to go in Bhutan, the tour operator takes care of practically everything else, including visa applications. We will submit the paperwork on your behalf and obtain all of the permissions you will need for your trip after receiving a scan of your passport. You will receive a visa acceptance letter so that you can book your travel to Bhutan, and your visa and permits will be given once you reach Paro International Airport. Your travel guide and driver, who are required, will greet you at the airport and transport you in a private vehicle to the locations listed on your itinerary.
Independent traveling in Nepal and Bhutan
With the exception of trekking paths, which require permits but not a guide if you wouldn't want one, independent travel is permitted in Nepal, and there are no limits on where you can go in the country. Traveling in Nepal is simple, so you are free to go wherever you want.
Bhutan, on the other hand, has more stringent regulations as a result of the country's environmental tourism policy. All visitors to Bhutan must be on a pre-arranged trip with motor transportation, driver, and ranger, and even when trekking, you will always be accompanied by a guide and supporting crew. This is done to safeguard the kingdom's ecosystem from the devastation that tourism typically causes, as well as to preserve the kingdom's unique experience for others.
Traveling between Nepal and Bhutan
The Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal's capital, is one of nine airports in five nations that fly to Bhutan on a regular basis. This makes it quite simple to travel to Bhutan from Nepal. In the peak season, flights leave Nepal every day, with extra flights added when demand is high, and the flight might not be that expensive at USD 230 per person. The flight takes approximately 1 hour 15 minutes and arrives in Paro early in the mornings.
Major site-seeing areas in Nepal and Bhutan
There are plenty of things to see and do in Nepal, but the Kathmandu Valley has to be at the top of the list. The largest stupa in Nepal, Boudhanath Stupa, is located in the Kathmandu Valley and was built in the 14th century near the trade route from Tibet. The Swayambhunath Temple, also known as the Monkey Temple, is one of Kathmandu's most beautiful monuments, with an enormous stupa with intriguing Buddha eyes and a golden pinnacle.
The Tiger's Nest Monastery is the best spot to visit in Bhutan, as it is the heartland of Buddhism. This magnificent Goemba, also known as the Taktsang Monastery, is located halfway up the mountain that overlooks the Paro Valley and was where Padmasambhava arrived in Bhutan on the back of a gigantic tiger. The dazzling white walls of Punakha Dzong are contrasted by the lavender Jacaranda trees that encircle the temple, making it one of Bhutan's most attractive monasteries.
Outdoor activities in Nepal and Bhutan
Both Nepal and Bhutan seem to be good for their hiking paths, and there is no better place to visit for people interested in elevated trekking. You may also explore the famed takin, the local equivalent of the moose, and the national symbol of Bhutan, which is a rare animal located only in this one country on the globe.
Nepal, on the other hand, is one of the most popular outdoor pursuits locations in the world. There is more than enough to keep even the most seasoned adventure seeker pleased for years, from white-water rafting and bungee jumping to kayaking several rivers and ice-climbing in the highlands.
Best time to visit Nepal and Bhutan
Both Nepal and Bhutan have comparable climates, with significant rainy and dry periods that coincide. The greatest times to visit these two Himalayan countries are in the spring and fall, from March to May and September to November, though you can go at any time of year based on what you're doing and where you would like to go.
In Nepal and Bhutan's Himalayan regions, winter is a season when it gets chilly and snowier. While elevated treks are frequently available at this time, there are many sites to explore and hike in the lower regions of the countries, where the wintertime is mild and the climate is still pleasant. The rainy season occurs throughout the summer months, and this is when the majority of the rain falls over the globe. However, even in the midst of the monsoon, there are locations both in Nepal and Bhutan where there is little to no rain and it is still possible to trek or explore.
Meals in Nepal and Bhutan
The cuisine of the Himalayas is quite distinct, and Nepalese cuisine, although inspired both by India and China, has a distinct native flavor. The national food is Dal-Bhat, which consists of a legume soup served with rice and a variety of side dishes like pickles, curries, meats, curd, and fish. You may also taste the famed mo: mo, which are steamed dumplings that are mainly packed with veggies but also come in meat versions.
Bhutanese cuisine is distinct, and native foods are known for being hot. Many cuisines include chilies, and cheese is another popular component. Ema Datshi is a traditional stew filled with chilies and cheese that is typically too spicy for most people. Jasha Maroo, the local version of spicy chicken, is more similar to an Indian dish, with more spice than you'd expect just by looking at it. Bhutan is also known for its red rice, which is the primary ingredient in all Bhutanese dishes.
Hotels in Nepal and Bhutan
You can stay in a variety of places in Nepal, ranging from the cheapest guest houses for as little as 2 dollars per night to four-star- star hotels for as much as 150 dollars per night. This ensures you'll always be able to find somewhere to live that fits your wallet.
Bhutan, on the other hand, is a very different story. As part of the comprehensive package, tourists must stay in hotels with a minimum rating of three stars. In Bhutan, there are also four and five-star hotels, which you can stay in for an additional fee.
Nepal Bhutan Tour cost
The cost of a combined Nepal Bhutan vacation package was determined by the number of people in the group, the kind of visa required, and the validity of flight tickets from Kathmandu to Paro and back.

Very readily with organised trips – Nepal Tibet overland & Bhutan
Dear Netra and Umesh,
Now as I make my way back to the UK, I can pause for breath and think about the trip we did.
First of all, thanks very much for taking us out to dinner on our last night in Nepal. It was a very pleasant evening, with great food and company. It was a kind gesture and one that does not come very readily with organized trips.

A life changing experience – Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan
Dear Netra, After many years of talking about traveling to these 3 destinations, we finally took the jump. What seemed like places so far away on the other side of the world and cultures so foreign to us from the west, at first was a bit daunting. This was the first time ever in our travels that I did not do any research or prepare a detailed itinerary (usually spend an entire month or so organize) Because of the region, we knew this was not possible to do on our own with the logistics of visas, flights, and booking accommodations but also knowing the what to see and where to go when. Your communication was perfect and the itinerary you custom put together for us was more than we expected. It was thoughtful and everyday was well planned. It allowed for rest and nothing was rushed. On top of that, the tour guides who took care of us were incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. We have even become friends with some of them. We could not have had such an immersive special experience without them. We learned about more than just the surface sights but a lot about history, culture, food, religion, politics, and the arts. Our drivers were patient and high skilled in navigating the roads. We will share our travel stories and memories with our friends and family and cannot wait to return again to the region. Thank you again for making our vacation invaluable with such special memories. Anyone looking to travel to this region should absolutely be confident they will be well taken care of by Asia Experiences.

Fantastic tour and amazing memories- Abstract traveling at the best
The Itineraries were smoothly handled, and we didn’t have to worry about any of the processes in between. We had a brief knowledge about every place we had been on this trip(Nepal Tour) from our wonderful guides. The experience here was new, and we were blessed to know about the people and their lifestyles here. On our short hikes, our guides choose the best routes for us, and we get the best views from the top. Mr. Umesh updated us with any changes as well as checked our status every day. The transportation and domestic flights were smooth, and I have to give it to the drivers driving in the traffic and the tough terrain too as they were skillful. We had no complications and even added a day at one of our destinations.
I recommend Asia Experiences for professional guidance and ease of Travelling.

Excellent Service, Thoughtful and Professional
We (My friend and me) surfed a whole lot seeking some popular agencies in Nepal. We decided to take no consideration when it came to professionalism in services. From our first words to the assistance we knew that Asia experiences were a perfect match for our South Asian visit. The reviews and ratings were just overviews and I happened to find an actual blog written by one of the previous travelers too. We communicated and sought advice both professionally as well as personal and headed towards the TIA airport the next month.
The hotels we stayed at were top-class, and we had to admit that the Asian foods we tried were a little spicy. However, we also had a range of different cuisines to choose from. I was also amazed to find the photography and English speaking skills impressive from Asia Experiences guides. We needed and got the detailed expense list and found the assistance of the agency worth every penny.
We want to thank Asia experiences and especially Mr. Umesh for this smooth and perfect vacation. If you want to avoid complications and have a professional aid by your side choose Asia Experiences.

Reaching for the horizon when you have trustworthy agency
As a traveler young in heart and an aging body, I was in doubt about whether I could push further and add a new chapter to my travel diary with this 14-day tour of Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan. With my previous experiences, I knew the importance of having a proper agency to back me up in my journey. I was lucky to find a couple back from the tour of these countries a few days back in the local cafeteria. With their help, I was able to connect with the Asia experiences tour.
As days came nearer to my arrival in Kathmandu, I asked numerous questions and communicated with the agency. They were of great help to keep my morale high. From the TIA to every other destination to come, the agency and guides completely aided me. From different hidden photographic locations to myths and legends of my destinations, I was provided a complete insight about them. With the help of Mr. Umesh from Asia Experiences, I was also able to get extra privileges at the Hotels and Lodges. My guides acted as my extra limb as I took on the journey from the plains to the marshlands and high hills.
I will suggest Asia Experiences for travelers of all ages and tastes.

Nepal Bhutan Tour- Great and humble tour assistance
I still remember the first time I called Asia Experiences for aid. It was noon here in Boston, but I didn’t realize that it would be a late night in Nepal. However, their customer case assistance was humble and took no time on my queries to visit this group of nations. I love traveling around the world, and in my many traveling stories there are some negative parts too. However, with the assistance and proper guidance of Asia experiences, I could enjoy my trip to the fullest. Mrs. Dipa was very polite and yet professional as I knew I was a handful of curious travelers who wanted a lot. In my short time here I thought I was able to know central Asia better than before with the courtesy of my amazing guides from Asia Experiences.
I suggest and approve this agency as one of the best and most straightforward companies you will find in Nepal. So better be safe than sorry, with Asia experiencing holidays.
