Nepal Bangladesh Tour

After landing in Kathmandu, our Asia Experiences representative will approach you with a placard in the arrival section. You will receive an authentic Nepali welcome with a colorful garland made from the seasonal flowers here. After a quick introduction, he/she will take you to your hotel (Location: Thamel) in our private AC vehicle. In the way, you can experience the busy city life of Kathmandu and will have a brief orientation session of this Nepal-Bangladesh tour. You can head out for the street tour of Thamel in the evening or rest in your hotel for today. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

You will visit the UNESCO heritage sites in Kathmandu today with an extended visit to the Patan city. After breakfast, we will start our cultural tour of today visiting the Swyambhunath Stupa. This stupa is the primary center of Buddhism in Nepal and is also one of the oldest sites in Nepal in the UNESCO world heritage list. The sunrise view from here over the Kathmandu valley from here is pristine. We will head towards the Pashupatinath temple next which lies in the eastern outskirts of the valley. This Hindu shrine of more than 500 small and big temples on both sides of holy Bagmati River. From here we will head towards Boudhanath stupa which is the center of Tibetan Buddhism (most extensive) in Nepal. You can also try some of the Tibetan inspired delicacies in the streets around Boudhanath. Our next destination for today is Patan/Lalitpur. You can visit the Patan Durbar (palace) square and Thanga paintings here. Return to your hotel back in Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu.

We will take a drive (1.5 hrs.) early in the morning to the hilltop village of Nagarkot today. From a view tower on the hill, we can view a beautiful mountain sunrise. After breakfast at Nagarkot, we will drive back to Kathmandu and head towards Chitwan. We have an optional flight (25 mins) or a highway drive (5-6 hrs.) to reach Chitwan. After reaching Chitwan, we will take you to your hotel where you can take some rest. You can make an evening walk to nearby Tharu (local tribe) villages and explore the culture and lifestyle in the Terai region of Nepal. We will also have a Tharu cultural program today highlighted by their unique stick dance and local songs. Overnight at a hotel in Chitwan.

Our day of the trip today is close to Nature and full of wildlife activities in the Chitwan National park. After taking the permits at the entry points, we will take an Elephant Safari deep to the forest here. One can encounter rare one-horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger, and many different species of wildlife and birds in this tour. We will then take a Canoe for the Rapti River safari. Gharial, Crocodiles, and diverse species of birds are major attractions of it. After a complete tour of the National Park, we can visit the Elephant breeding center and egg hatchery in the premises of the National Park. Overnight at a hotel in Chitwan.

After your breakfast in Chitwan, we will head towards our next destination of the tour, Pokhara. To reach Pokhara either take a 30-minute flight or about 8 hrs. of highway ride. In both cases, you will be welcomed by a great view of hills, mountains, and more cooling breeze in Pokhara. You will drive straight to your hotel here and rest for some time there. In the evening, we will visit the Phewa Lake to view the beautiful sunset alongside the reflection of the Annapurna and Machhapuchre in the clean water of the lake. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.

Pokhara or the city of lakes is one of the most visited cities of Nepal. It is gifted with great viewpoints, nature, environment, and adventurous places to explore. Our day will start with a short hike to the Sarangkot hill viewpoint. It is one of the best places in the whole valley to view the Annapurna and Macchapucchre mountain range. After some time here, we will return to Pokhara and start our city tour. This tour consists mainly of the unmissable religious, natural, and cultural side of the city. Tal Barahi temple, Davis falls, Gupteshor cave and the International Mountain Museum are the main highlights of today's tour. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

We can visit some of the other major destinations before our flight or drive returning to Kathmandu today. The Bindabasini temple and Seti gorge park are some of the places you can visit in your spare time today. After reaching Kathmandu, visit the Kathmandu (Basantapur) Durbar square about 15 minutes of walking distance from your hotel. The architecture of the Temples and monuments here reflects the art and techniques of the Malla period in Kathmandu valley. In your way back, you can shop for some souvenirs in the markets of Thamel. You will fly from the TIA Kathmandu to the Shahjalal Airport in Dhaka today. This flight is of about 1.5 hours and commences the second part of our journey of Bangladesh. Our Bangladeshi guide/representative will receive you at the airport for this tour. Taking your arrival time into consideration, we will visit some of the nearby city attractions of Dhaka. The colorful flower market, the temple of Dakeshwari, Dhaka University, and the Parliament House are the shortlisted places to visit today. Try some local style dinner and rest for the day at your hotel here. Overnight at Dhaka.

We will take a 90 min drive to Sonargaon early today. We will visit the Folk art and craft museum and explore the place taking a boat ride around the premises. You can experience the art and cultural delights of a long period in this Museum. The lost Panam city is your next destination which is one of the most visited sites in Dhaka. In the city, we will visit the Bara Sadar Bari of the ancient ruler Isa Khan and then head to the Goaldi Mosque. The beautiful mosque made in 1519 AD is one of the well-preserved monuments from that period in Panam city. From the mosque, we will take a boat to cruise the Megna River and visit some of the local island villages on the cruise. These fishing villages will give us an authentic experience of the rural side of Dhaka district. We will return to Dhaka after the tour and visit the Lalbagh Fort, Pink Palace (Ahsan Manzil). We will also try traveling in a Rikshaw to the old town of Dhaka next to visit the local market, Ornamental star mosque, and Armenian Church here. You will rest for the day in your hotel back in Dhaka. Overnight at Dhaka.

We will try some Bengali food as our breakfast before driving to the airport today. We will fly to Rajshahi (50 minutes) from here rest for a while. We'll drive to the historical Paharpur making a brief stop to visit the Kusumba Mosque in our way. This mosque was built in the period of 14th to the 16th century, and the architecture and stone-carved art here reflects the components of that era. After some time here, we will drive to the UNESCO world heritage site of Somapura Mahavihara in Paharpur. This site is the most significant archeological sites in Bangladesh. The remains of walls enclose many statues, inscriptions, terracotta Plaques, coins, and ceramics aging back to the 4th century or older. A traditional Buddhist stupa lies in its center. We will then visit the tribal villages and witness the local lifestyle of Paharpur. We will continue our drive after a visit here to the Bogra city today. Overnight at a hotel in Bogra.

Our Bogra tour will primarily focus on three of the major archeological sites of the area alongside the visit of the local village areas. Mahasthangrah with Govinda Bhita, Basu Bihar and Gokul Medh are our three destinations for Bogra today. Each of these sites holds many significant remains of the people, monastery, and palace situated in these areas from the period of the 3rd century to the 7th. With our local guide, you will know all the essential information about these places. Try some of the regional cuisines in the villages surrounding these areas where the people are friendly and welcoming.
After the Bogra visit, we will drive back to Rajshahi. We will visit the Puthia temple after reaching Rajshahi. It is a complex with one of the most extensive collections of historic Hindu temples in Bangladesh. The temples here are centuries old with beautiful wood/stone carvings and sculptures. The architecture of Puthiya temple is inspired mainly by Jor-Bangla and Jaipuri style. After a brief exploration, we will return to our hotel in Rajshahi. Overnight at Rajshahi.

We will visit some of the major destinations in Rajshahi today before our flight back to Dhaka. Rajshahi was and is famous all over the world for the high-quality Rajshahi silk produced in the city. We will visit the central park of Rajshahi after our breakfast. The park and zoo is a great place to loosen a bit and enjoy a peaceful time here. You can visit some local bazaar area and try the local cuisine here returning to your hotel. We will drive to the airport and board a flight to Dhaka. In our spare time today, we will visit some of the other sites left in Dhaka. You can visit the local fish market in the evening and watch some local trading techniques in Bangladesh. Overnight at a hotel Dhaka.
