Punakha Dzong: A masterwork Dzong built completely without using nails where the famous Punakha festival is held around mid-February. Visit the longest suspension bridge above the Po Chu River near the Dzong.
Chhimi Lakhang: It is a very popular fertility temple worshipped by childless couples devoted to the Divine Madman.
Drive to the foothill of the iconic Taktsang Monastery in Paro early in the morning. Upon arriving, get ready for a thrilling hike which takes approx. 2-3 hours to reach the top. The monastery is popularly called ‘Tiger’s Nest Monastery’ perched on a cliff above the Paro Valley. It is a holy Vajrayana Himalayan Buddhist site that has great historical and cultural significance. It is believed that Guru Padmasambhava meditated in this cave for more than three years to ward off evil spirits.
During a hike, take a short break midway to use a restroom or relax in an indoor sitting area. There is also a cafeteria to munch on some foods or drinks. Throughout the hike, pass a scenic waterfall, and admire the beautiful surroundings. Wear decent clothes while visiting the monastery.
Continue the hike, and ascend gradually until you reach the monastery. The aura of the monastery is serene and spiritual. Spend some time with monks inside the monastery. Enjoy the phenomenal views of Paro Valley from here. Descend back and transfer to the hotel after exploration. The remaining day is free for you to spend on your own. Overnight stay in a hotel.

With a proper first acclimatization rest day in Lhasa, commence the second day of Lhasa tours with Lhasa sightseeing. Yamdrok Lake Excursion begins with a scenic drive traversing Kampala Pass at an elevation of 4794 m. Adore the phenomenal view of Mt. Nojin Kangtsang (7191m) from the pass. Yamdrok is a freshwater lake that is among one of the largest of the Great Three Sacred Lakes in Tibet. After the excursion, have lunch and drive back to Lhasa for an overnight stay.
