About 60% of the forest area is in Bangladesh and the remaining 40% is in India. Sundarbans is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This mangrove forest is home to several diverse flora and fauna. The endangered and rare species, Royal Bengal Tiger, 260 species of birds, deer, monkeys, wild boars, and crocodiles are some major attractions. YOUR JOURNEY DAY BY DAY
Our representative welcomes you at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Terminal-1 gate with the name of your placard. Then, you are transferred to the hotel in Dhaka. Rest for a while and commence on a half-day Dhaka tour. Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh. A short visit around Tara Mosque which has an aesthetic interior and exterior architecture. From there, a visit to the oldest Armenian Church. Then, a tour around Bahadur Shah Park and visit the monument. After a short half-day tour, return to a hotel for an overnight stay.
Note: If you arrive in the evening or night in Dhaka, the Dhaka tour is on the next day or as per the itinerary.
A full-day Sonargaon and Panama City Tour starts after breakfast. An hour-long drive in a private car with a guide towards Sonargaon. Upon arriving at Sonargaon, a visit to the single domed Goaldi Mosque. One of the impressive pre-Mughal architecture and a short tour around Goaldi village. The Folk Arts and Craft Museum harboring the Boro Sardar Bari represents the rich textile culture. The folk arts and handicrafts from the 17th century onwards are impressive. Have lunch at a traditional Bengali restaurant in Sonargaon. Then, proceed towards Panama city/Nagar. The main attraction here is 52 mansions built in the 19th century. Next, a boat tour over the Meghna River and a tour around Sandbank Island. Interact with locals and experience traditional village life. Take some snaps of decorated houses and surrounding beauties. Return to the boat station and the Sonargaon and Panama City tour ends here. Back to the hotel in Dhaka. Stay overnight at a hotel in Dhaka.
The full-day Dhaka city tour with a guide and in a private vehicle begins. In the morning, a visit to the largest market Kawran Bazaar and explore the market for a while. After that, a tour around National Parliament Building. The stunning architecture of the building is impressive and worthy of taking pictures. Then head towards Central Dhaka. A visit around Bait Ur Rouf Mosque with an exceptional modern architecture design. The architecture is inspired by the Sultanate Mosque. From here, proceed further to Old Dhaka. Lalbagh Fort is the 17th century Mughal Fort which is the next destination. The tomb inside the fort is a major attraction enclosed in expensive marble. The Mughal paintings and calligraphy, swords, and firearms are displayed in a small museum. A short walk towards 500-years old Hindu Dhakeshwari Temple. Have lunch and head towards Ahsan Manzil.
Ahsan Manzil is also known as Pink Palace. The palace is beside the Buriganga River. This museum has many galleries and displays numerous belongings of Nawab families. If you wish, enjoy horse cart riding to the Sardarghat. Hire a wooden boat and tour over the Buriganga River and get some glimpses of ferries, and surrounding scenery. After a short boat tour, the Dhaka City tour comes to an end.
Drive to Khulna in a private vehicle and stay overnight at a hotel. If traveling in a private vehicle to Khulna, tourists must skip some places on the Dhaka city tour to reach Khulna on time. Alternatively, tourists can do a full-day Dhaka city tour and in the evening travel to Khulna via train which takes approx. 8 to 9 hours. The next morning, head directly towards the ship harbor in Khulna.

The tour to Sundarbans commences early morning around 6:30 am after reaching the ship harbor from Khulna. The interesting journey for the next 3 days on the ship begins towards the Sundarbans forest. Enjoy the surrounding natural beauty and arrive at the Harbaria area after three hours. Arrive at this region through the bank of the Poshur River. Harbaria is a famous eco-tourism center. Get permission from the forest department and along with a guide and gunman (for security) explore the place. Witness diverse species of tree and some footprints of tigers. This is the area where more tigers reside. Get a glimpse of bird species, forest deer, roosters, cats, and crocodiles. Encounter many monkeys and keep the food safe from them. Reach the first watchtower and relish the stunning views of the forest, birds, and the surrounding beauty. A little walk further and get a sight of a freshwater pond and floating water lilies (national flower of Bangladesh). Walk through wooden bridges as it is safe and built for humans to walk and take some pictures and return to the ship. Continue the tour forward via ship through a narrow canal and stop at Kotka Forest Station for an overnight stay on the ship.
An early morning wake up around 5:30 am and explore the amazing Kotka. Kotka is also home to diverse flora and fauna. Numerous monkeys and deer are found here. Besides, other species of birds and animals are also here. More than 300 types of plants are here. Extinct birds like Vultures, Grey Eagles, and Hornbills are found here. Get a superb surrounding view from the watch tower. The natural beauty, the greenery, and a glimpse of birds and hide and seek of animals to watch are delightful. The forest gets dense as we walk inside forest. Walk for a few hours to reach the famous Kotka Sea Beach. It is popularly called Jamtola Beach where tourists can also enjoy bathing on the beach. Tourists can witness the footprints and paws of tigers during the winter season.
Afterward, wander around Hiron Point Forest station. Visit Hiron Point Official side and Watch Tower. Enjoy the awesome views from the top of the tower. Return to the ship and proceed towards the small but beautiful island Dublar Char. A popular island for catching fish and processing fish. Enjoy the fishing process by fishermen. While wandering, tourists can spot deer and other wild animals as well. Spend some time over there and return on the ship. The ship then proceeds towards its next destination Karamjol Forest Station. Overnight on a ship at the Karamjol Forest station.
A day starts with exploring Karamjol. The splendid gateway to the wildlife sanctuary. It functions as a deer breeding center too. Home to various species of mammals, birds, insects, reptiles, and fish. Tourists can witness Salt-water crocodiles, Gangetic River Dolphins, snakes, foxes, monkeys, deer, and if lucky the Royal Bengal Tiger. The peaceful tour in the middle of the forest far from the human crowd. After a memorable tour, return to Khulna via ship. Stay overnight at a hotel.
After breakfast, a tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bagerhat commences by a private vehicle. Bagerhat was once called Khalifabad and is a 15th-century Muslim city. A great sight of Shait Gumbad Mosque which is popular as the ‘60 dome mosque’. There are other historical mosques nearby. Also, there is the tomb of Mazar Khan Jahan Ali, a famous holy man of the country. After exploring this historical place, the Bagerhat tour comes to an end.
Return to Dhaka in a private vehicle or business class bus. A final goodbye at the airport for the departure or at a hotel as your flight schedule. If the flight is scheduled for the next day, pick up service from the hotel and see off to the airport is done.
