If time permits, a short visit to Umiam Lake for refreshment. Locals called it Dam Site. The reservoir was built for hydroelectric power generation. After breakfast, head towards Cherrapunji for an excursion. The place is commonly called Sohra. A full-day tour begins with a visit to the Nohkalikai Falls. The tallest plunge waterfall in India is impressive.
Then, a visit to the attractive cave called Mawsmai Cave. The fully lit cave in its natural formation makes it distinct from other caves. This cave is home to bats, insects, and some flora species.
A tour of the Thangkharang Park famous for its natural scenery of plains and green valleys and Kynrem Falls. The Khoh Ramrah Rock popularly called Shiva rock is another attraction here.
