Good News for all tourists. 50% Discount on Bhutan’s SDF: USD 100 per person per night till 2027 which is effective from September 1, 2023.
Get ready for an enchanting journey to the ‘Land of Dragons-Bhutan’. The journey is even more wonderful with the newly revised Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) structure which is only USD 100 per person per night. This offer lasts until September 2027 and welcomes travelers from around the globe to discover Bhutan’s amazing culture and beautiful landscapes.
Families planning to travel to Bhutan with kids will be happy to hear that there is a 50% discount on SDF for kids aged 6 to 11. Furthermore, kids under 6 don’t have to pay anything for the SDF, so the whole family can have a great time without any worries.
Previously, travelers were required to pay USD 200 per person per night, excluding Indian nationals. There were additional incentives offered to tourists who extended their stay on the SDF. However, these options will no longer be available starting from September 1, 2023, with the new SDF introduction.
However, for Indian nationals, the SDF remains at 1200 ngultrum per person per night. And there is a 50% discount on SDF for kids aged between 6 to 12 and no SDF at all for kids below 6 years.
