Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda or the Golden Rock Pagoda is a beautiful place to be at any time of the year. The whole area glows up in the golden glare every day but it is incomparable to what one can experience in the Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda Festival. Buddhist devotees from all around the world gather in the temple decorating it with more than 9000 candles and flowers. In the following morning, sweets, rice delicacies, and other treats are offered to the devotees and visitors alike. The festival of Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda falls normally in October following the lunar calendar.
