Tiger’s Nest

Tiger’s Nest or Taktsang Monastery defines Bhutan as a whole. A monastery situated on a cliff with amazing natural scenes and is also a prominent Buddhist site. People believe that the great Guru Padmasambhava himself meditated in the cave here.

Tiger’s nest is also famous with the Bhutanese Pilgrims with the name of Temple of  Guru with eight names. This sacred monastery of Guru Rinpoche also shows Bhutanese architecture at its best. One can get to this holy site by hiking from the beautiful Paro Valley.
